Our priorities
- Cooling centres within a fifteen-minute walk of every resident during heat emergencies.
- Tree canopy targets for the hottest districts, where shade is scarcest.
- Clean energy jobs that hire locally and pay prevailing wages.
- Flood planning that protects renters as well as property owners.
Community climate plans
Since 2023 we have facilitated neighbourhood climate plans in nine districts. Residents map their own risks, decide what to fix first, and present the plan directly to city council.
